One of the reasons I rarely read fiction is that it is difficult for me to reliably find novels I actually enjoy. Here are a couple of online resources that offer reader advisory services. Whichbook.net allows you to select parameters such as happy or sad to find corresponding books. Gnooks uses the "If you liked this author, you'll probably like this other author." approach. After you find a book you like you can use isbn.nu to find the cheapest place to buy it online. But of course you'd be checking it out from the local public library, right?
