Taxpayer Access
After years of hearing "My taxes pay your salary, so do what I say!" It's nice to see the bully pulpit of being a "taxpayer" applied to something I believe in, Open Access. Of course my (silent) responce to the jerks mentioned above has always been, no *my* taxes pay my salary.

You're back!!! Where have you been?
Well first I went to graduate school. Where my blogging didn't last too long. Then I went to Fiji where the blogging was good, but I didn't last too long! Now I'm back in Portland, being a Medical Librarian and trying to get back into the swing of things! I can't believe anybody besides my mother still even remembers this blog!

This is why I never got to read the actual article in Science written by Donato et al. My small town public library and even my local community college library do not, cannot, subscribe to these important but expensive journals.
