While not quite the same as quackery, medical hoaxes are also dangerous misinformation. The CDC has it's own little snopes.

In the wake of all the stories of cell phone use on September 11th, I finally succumed to the desire to own one myself. As I have nobody I particulary want to call, and certainly don't want to be called, the most interesting part of the phone to me is the messaging service. Various messages can be sent to you from the ususal suspects such as Yahoo and Your Service Provider(tm). There are a couple of other places where you can get these sort of alerts, in addition to picture messages and ringtones. Such as here, here and here. Nokia has all sorts of cool things, for Europe. For those of us stuck in North America, this site offers help..

Oh, October is Medial Librarian's Month.

This is the index of all the art used to illustrate the M-W dictionary, pretty cool.

Wow, the last time I blogged was the morning of September 11th, shortly before I realized what was going on, I had completely forgotten.
