Dan Savage was recently in Portland and mentions his love of the city in a recent article. I recommend his three excellent books .

Taxpayer Access

After years of hearing "My taxes pay your salary, so do what I say!" It's nice to see the bully pulpit of being a "taxpayer" applied to something I believe in, Open Access. Of course my (silent) responce to the jerks mentioned above has always been, no *my* taxes pay my salary.
